Pork Cutlets with Cabbage and Cheese

Serves 4

 

Ingredients:

4 pork cutlets

1 cabbage head

1/2 cup 12% cream

1/4 cup white wine

1 tsp sage

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 cups Salerno Mozzarella Cheese,grated

1/2 cup Salerno Parmesan Cheese,grated

 

 

Method:

Cook whole cabbage head in salted water for about 5 minutes. Remove from water and cut into coarse pieces. Place cabbage into a casserole, add cream, salt and pepper and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350˚F. In the meantime, melt butter in a skillet and cook the cutlets for about 10 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper and set aside. Pour the wine into the skillet, add sage. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add wine mixture into the cabbage. Mix well. Line the bottom of a baking dish with half of the cabbage mixture. Arrange cutlets on top of the cabbage and cover with the second half of the cabbage mixture. Top with Salerno Mozzarella Cheeseand SalernoParmesan Cheese.  Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbly.
